ADEFUA’s programs celebrate, preserve, and advance African and African Diaspora arts through community-centered festivals, place-based creative development, youth and family empowerment, and the creation of dedicated cultural spaces. Together, these initiatives uplift artists, strengthen cultural identity, and ensure African arts remain visible, accessible, and thriving for all to see.
A community-facing cultural arts program that elevates African and African Diaspora artists through accessible performances, exhibitions, and educational experiences. This initiative ensures African arts are visible, valued, and shared across generations and communities.
An intergenerational arts and education program designed to engage youth and families through culturally rooted workshops, mentorship, and creative expression. The program includes the Rites of Passage - Girls Coming of Age and Black Dance is Sport.
A place-based initiative focused on strengthening the cultural and creative economy of Rainier Valley. This program supports artists, cultural bearers, and small creative businesses while preserving the neighborhood’s rich cultural identity through collaboration, advocacy, and programming.

An annual celebration honoring African culture through music, dance, visual arts, food, and community connection. Odunde Fest creates a vibrant gathering space where tradition, creativity, and collective joy come together while supporting artists and local vendors.
ADEFUA’s vision for a permanent cultural home dedicated to African and African Diaspora arts. The Center will serve as a hub for performances, classes, exhibitions, and community gatherings, providing space for cultural preservation, artistic excellence, and community wellness.
